Banknotes of the World: News Bulletin (12 issues per year) provides information on the recent changes in currency circulation, new and obsolete banknotes, detected counterfeits, banknotes production, processing systems and procedures, currency management.
It gives the images and descriptions of the banknotes which were put into circulation in previous months starting from the beginning of a year. Monthly bulletin contains the updated information on commemorative and investment coins, plastic cards and other means of payment.
Great emphasis is put onto counterfeits identification. Each issue contents description and pictures of the detected counterfeits (about 4—6 in each issue) — euro, dollars, rubles, hryvnias, legacy currencies of the European countries. The information on counterfeits is obtained form the Forensic Science Center of the Ministry of Internal Affair of Russia and individual central banks of the CIS states.
News section provides the readers with recent news form the security printing industry and banking community. It contents the interviews with the prominent representatives of the security printing industry, the banking community, the law enforcement institutions, overviews of the recent developments, news on currency circulation around the globe.
The news bulletins are intended for staff of banks and financial institutions, cashiers dealing with currencies, law enforcement agencies and the professional in currency industry.
The bulletin is printed in English.
The periodical is distributed by subscription as an autonomous edition as well as a supplement to the annual catalogue “Banknotes of the world”.
